WINDOWS CLIENT · PUBLIC PREVIEW
Download AICL.
Start creating for Minecraft.
Describe a mod, modpack or resource pack in natural language. Develop it with AI assistance in the client and verify it in your own game instance.
Windows 10 / 11 · x64 (Intel / AMD 64-bit)
Extract the entire ZIP, then run AICL.exe. Sign-in and AI services require internet access.
A Windows x64 release is currently available. There are no native macOS, Linux or ARM64 packages. Minecraft itself is not included; game files and runtimes are downloaded separately when preparing an instance.
Installation & first use
-
Download and extract the entire ZIP
Wait for
AICL-win64.zipto finish downloading. In Windows File Explorer, right-click the archive and choose “Extract All”. Use a writable folder with enough free space, such asD:\Games\AICL.Find
AICL.exein the extracted folder. Keep the adjacent_internalfolder and all other files. Do not copy the EXE alone or run it from inside the archive. -
Launch AICL and sign in
Double-click
AICL.exe, wait for the window to load, then follow the sign-in prompts. If you need an account, follow the registration screen. If registration is unavailable, contact the preview maintainers through the community link on the homepage.AI creation uses account credits. Check your balance in the client before starting. You do not need to supply a model API key.
-
Prepare a Minecraft instance
On the Play page, select or create a game instance and check its game version and loader. Installing a Java Edition instance downloads the required Java runtime, libraries and game assets. The first setup can take some time.
Your AICL account and Minecraft account are separate. When licensed game sign-in is required, follow the launcher prompts to sign in with a Microsoft account that owns the appropriate game entitlement.
-
Start with a small creation
In AI Creation, start a new conversation and describe something easy to verify. If it has no bound instance, choose one when prompted after the first message. For example: “Add a copper sword and a crafting recipe to this Fabric instance.”
Follow the first Fabric mod tutorial (in Chinese) for an example request and in-game checks.
Review the client's confirmation prompts before installing your work and launching the game. Try changes in a test instance and keep backups of important worlds.
Leave room for the game, too. The ZIP size covers only the compressed client. Extracted files, game assets, Java, build caches and your creations require additional space, depending on your instances and projects.
Already have AICL?
Use the client's update prompt when available. Save your work, close the game and wait for running tasks to finish before updating.
If you need to download a fresh copy, fully exit the old client from the system tray, then extract the new package into a new folder. Keep your old folder, data and worlds until you have checked the new version and the instances you need.
No update prompt does not necessarily mean you have the latest version: network or update-check failures can prevent a result. This page links to the package currently published by the maintainers.
Download & startup questions
Missing DLL or _internal, or the app closes immediately?
Check that the ZIP finished downloading and extract it again into a new folder using “Extract All”. Keep AICL.exe and _internal together. If it still fails, record the full error and collect the log described below.
Missing Microsoft Edge WebView2, or a blank window?
AICL uses WebView2 for its interface. If the error specifically says the runtime is missing, get the Evergreen Runtime from the official Microsoft WebView2 page, install it and restart AICL. If the window remains blank, include the log in your report.
Windows or security software blocks the app?
Check that you downloaded from this page's link and record the warning. Keep system protection enabled. If the file is quarantined or you cannot confirm its source, contact the maintainers through the homepage community link for verification.
Do I need to install Python, Node.js or Java first?
The packaged client does not require a separate Python or Node.js installation. Java Edition runtimes are prepared for the selected instance. Mod build tools may be downloaded on first use, so allow for internet access and additional disk space.
Game downloads are slow or appear stuck?
Check the client's download task status and keep AICL running. You can switch pages or minimize the window; fully exiting can interrupt tasks. If a task fails, check your connection and free space, then use the available resume or retry action. Include the game version, loader and error in any report.
Can I use AI Creation directly on the website?
AI Creation, the launcher and local game verification currently run in the Windows client. The website provides product information and downloads. AI services require sign-in and internet access.
Include these details in a report
If the client opens, use its feedback entry. Otherwise, contact the maintainers through the Discord community link in the homepage footer.
